(Coppell, TX) — AAA Texas says the average gas price in Texas is $2.61 for a gallon of regular unleaded.
That price is unchanged from last week, but is up 48 cents from a year ago.
Drivers in Midland are paying the most on average at $3.06, while drivers in Amarillo and Wichita Falls are paying the least at $2.50 a gallon.
Houston drivers are in between at $2.60 a gallon.
The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.83, down two cents from last week, and 49 cents more than a year ago.
