State Gas Prices Up Slightly Due To Strong Demand

(Coppell, TX) — AAA Texas says the average gas price in Texas is now $2.66 for a gallon of regular unleaded.

That’s a penny more than last week and 61 cents more than a year ago.

Drivers in San Antonio are paying the least at $2.53 a gallon, while drivers in Midland are paying the most on average at $3.12.

The national average price is $2.88 for a gallon of regular unleaded, which is one cent more than last week and 62 cents more than a year ago.

After the record July 4th travel period, demand for gasoline this summer is still strong.
