(Dallas, TX) — Southwest Airlines is expressing support for illegal immigrants benefiting from the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
The Dallas-based airline is one of a group of Texas businesses and chambers of commerce that submitted a court filing on Saturday that said ending DACA would cost the state economy $6-billion a year in lost activity.
Other businesses involved were United Airlines, Houston-based Marek Brothers Construction, and Laredo-based International Bancshares.
Hispanic chambers of commerce in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and other locations, also showed their support for DACA.
