(San Antonio, TX) — Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich says it’s “time to move on” from the Kawhi Leonard era.
Popovich spoke to the press on Wednesday about the trade that sent Leonard and Danny Green to the Toronto Raptors in a deal that included DeMar DeRozan.
Popovich spoke well of Leonard and his seven seasons with the Spurs, the only NBA franchise he’s ever played for.
Leonard sat out most of the past season recovering from a leg injury, playing only nine regular-season games and missing the playoffs.
