(Fort Worth, TX) — A major Fort Worth freeway roadwork project is finished, two months ahead of schedule.
The Texas Department of Transportation and North Tarrant Infrastructure announced the completion Wednesday at a media briefing.
The North Tarrant Express Project on I-35W stretches ten miles from the I-30 interchange near downtown Fort Worth to North Tarrant Parkway at U.S. 287.
The $1.6 billion project involved a complete rebuild of I-35W, with added feeder roads and bypass lanes and two managed toll lanes.
