(Austin, TX) — Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn believes Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh will be confirmed by the Senate.
On CBS’s “Face the Nation,” the Texas Republican said he expects at least three Democrats to vote to confirm Kavanaugh to the high court.
Those three Senators, Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Joe Donnelly of Indiana, and Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, helped to confirm Neil Gorsuch last year.
Kavanaugh is widely considered to hold views similar to those of Gorsuch.
