Cornyn Discusses Harvey Recovery Money

John Cornyn

(Houston, TX) — Nearly a year after Hurricane Harvey, recovery efforts and how to pay for them are still being talked about.

U.S. Senator John Cornyn hosted a roundtable on Friday to discuss the $500-million in federal funding recently announced for flood control projects in Harris County.

Local leaders and the Army Corps of Engineers joined Cornyn at Thompson Intermediate School, which was flooded by Harvey but has been repaired.

The discussion focused on the $295-million Clear Creek project and others planned for the county.
