(Fort Worth, TX) — Good news if you’re flying American Airlines out of Love Field or DFW International.
The Fort Worth-based airline’s basic economy flight is about to become more economical.
Starting September 5th, basic economy passengers will be allowed one carry-on bag and a personal item free of charge.
Previously it cost $25 for a carry-on, and passengers could only bring a personal item if it fit under the seat in front of them.
The new freebie is available even to travelers who book their flights before September 5th.
