CollegeRadio.org’s third annual Vinylthon event, organized by the College Radio Foundation, is occurring across the country on April 21. This year KTXT is joining the event and playing 24 hours of vinyl from various Lubbock locations.
KTXT will be broadcasting live from several locations throughout the 24 hours of vinyl music, on 88.1 on the dial, so listeners that keep their tuners locked to the left can enjoy the difference in sound that comes with vinyl music.
In the morning KTXT Vinylthon will be broadcast starting 9 am at Yellow House Coffee on 3017 34th Street, while at noon KTXT will be broadcasting from Ralph’s Records on 3322 34th Street, and Flippers Tavern on 1406 Avenue Q at 9pm. Listeners can bring their vinyl records to the remote broadcast locations to have them played on air.
Overnight the broadcast will be from the KTXT studio itself and will end at 9 am.
