Multiple news sources report a Trump administration official confirmed that Alabama lawyer Brett Talley’s nomination will not go forward. Critics questioned Talley’s credentials after the American Bar Association rated him “unanimously unqualified” for the post. It’s also been confirmed the nomination of Jeff Mateer to a federal court in Texas will not go forward over concerns about anti-LGBT statements.
