(Washington, DC) — The White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders is defending President Trump’s decision to recognize the holy city of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
In a briefing today, Sanders called the decision courageous and bold. She also cited strong support in Congress. The declaration is strongly opposed by Muslim leaders and some top U.S. allies who are concerned that it may prompt more violence in the Middle East.
