(Washington, DC) — President Trump’s lawyer says he drafted the tweet that Trump sent yesterday.
In the tweet, the President said that he knew his former national security adviser Michael Flynn had lied to the FBI before he fired Flynn in February.
The tweet implied the President knew Flynn committed a felony by lying to the FBI when he told then FBI Director James Comey to go easy on Flynn. Within a few hours, Trump’s personal attorney John Dowd jumped in to say that he wrote the tweet, not the President.
