Statue Returned

(New York City, NY) — Three statues stolen from Lebanon in 1981 are now back home in New York. The investigation involved multiple agencies as investigators worked to track the path of the pieces over the past few decades, from dealer to dealer and eventually to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. No charges have been filed.  The investigation continues and authorities hope more ancient artifacts will be recovered. Together, the statues are believed to be worth over 800-million-dollars.
