(Cupertino, CA) — Song-recognition app Shazam is now part of Apple after the Cupertino-based tech titan purchased Shazam for an undisclosed price. The acquisition announced yesterday included a statement from Apple describing Shazam as a “natural fit” with its services, which could include Apple’s music streaming service, which has over 27 million subscribers. The Shazam deal marks Apple’s biggest acquisition in music since paying three-billion dollars for Beats Electronics’ line of headphones and music service in 2014.
