(Tampa, FL) — It costs a lot more to buy premium gas in Florida compared to regular and it might not be worth it. Triple-A reports that the price gap between premium and regular in Florida this year has averaged 57 cents a gallon. The auto club says premium is fine if the vehicle manufacturer requires it or you drive in demanding conditions. Otherwise, Triple-A says new research indicates that motorists who buy premium are wasting money at the pump.
