(Washington, DC) — A new poll finds Americans are leaning more left when it comes to their choice for control of Congress. An NBC News/”Wall Street Journal” poll shows 50-percent of registered voters prefer a Democratic-controlled Congress. That contrasts the 39-percent that favors Republicans. The last time Democrats showed similar numbers was in September of 2008, just before they won the White House and added several seats in the House and Senate. The poll was taken right after Democrat Doug Jones beat Republican Roy Moore in a Senate runoff in Alabama.
