Oklahoma RB Anderson Accused Of Rape

(Norman, OK)  —  Oklahoma Sooners leading rusher Rodney Anderson is being accused of rape.

An emergency protective order was issued against Anderson on Monday in Cleveland County District Court in Oklahoma. A woman claims she was raped by Anderson in her apartment following a night of drinking at a bar in November.

No charges have been filed, but a hearing is set for December 18th.

Anderson’s attorney issued a statement saying the allegation is false and his client is shocked and disturbed by the claims.

Anderson leads the Sooners this season with 960 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. He also has 16 catches for 283 yards and five more scores. Second-ranked Oklahoma faces third-ranked Georgia in the College Football Playoff semifinals at the Rose Bowl on January 1st.
