(Undated) — Changes could be made to the way Iowa’s first-in-the-nation Democratic presidential caucuses are carried out. Under changes proposed by the Unity Reform Commission in Washington, D.C., Iowa’s Democratic caucuses would allow voters to cast absentee ballots. Raw vote totals for each candidate would also be revealed for the first time. If approved by the Democratic National Committee, the changes would take effect in time for the 2020 presidential election.
