(Menlo Park, CA) — Facebook is launching a messaging app for kids. The app will allow children to communicate with their parents and parent-approved friends. It’s connected to the parents’ Facebook account and parents are the only ones that can add friends or delete messages. Children under the age of 13 aren’t allowed to have their own accounts on Facebook under the company’s rules. “Messenger Kids” is designed as a legal way for kids to participate.
