McCain Responding Well To Cancer Treatment

(Washington, DC) — Senator John McCain’s doctor says he’s responding positively to his brain cancer treatment. In a statement, Dr. Mark Gilbert said the 81-year-old also responded well to treatment for a viral infection that left him hospitalized at Walter Reed Medical Center. McCain has returned to Arizona and will undergo physical therapy and rehab. He’s expected to miss a big vote this week on the Republican tax plan. McCain’s office says he looks forward to returning to Washington in January.
