KY Lawmaker Kills Self After Denying Molestation Charges

Representative Dan Johnson

(Louisville, KY)  —  A Kentucky lawmaker accused of molesting a teenage girl is dead of a likely suicide.  WDRB reports state Representative Dan Johnson reportedly shot and killed himself tonight after driving on to a bridge in Mt. Washington, Kentucky.  The Bullitt County coroner called it a “probable suicide.”  The Kentucky Center for Investigative Reporting published an expose Monday detailing the allegations against Johnson, a Republican.  It cited court documents alleging Johnson molested a 17-year-old girl on New Year’s Eve in 2012 at a church where he was a pastor.  Johnson denied the accusations.
