Hunter Fall Recalling Fans Due To Light Globe

(Undated) — Hunter Fan is recalling nearly 170-thousand ceiling fans in the U.S. and Canada. The company has received 38 reports of the light globe falling due to incorrect instructions in the owner’s manual. So far, no injuries have been reported.  The recall involves two Hunter Contempo ceiling fan models sold at Costco stores and online from January 2016 through August 2017. Refurbished fans were also sold on eBay, Amazon and Groupon. Consumers should check to ensure that the light globe was installed correctly by turning it clockwise until it stops and is resting firmly in place.
