(Houston, TX) — Federal authorities are accusing an 18-year-old Houston man of supporting ISIS in a plot to commit terrorist acts in the United States.
Kaan Damlarkaya, an American-born citizen, is charged with illegally distributing bomb-making instructions and trying to provide material support to the Islamic State. Damlarkaya spoke online to undercover FBI agents starting in August.
He was arrested Friday and has a court hearing later this week. Damlarkaya is the third resident of the Houston area to be arrested for supporting ISIS in recent years.
