(Washington, DC) — House Republicans are advancing legislation that would extend government funding through December 22nd. Full House debate and a vote on the legislation could happen as soon as tomorrow. The effort comes after President Trump today said a government shutdown could happen as soon as Saturday. Congress has until midnight Friday to approve a short-term spending plan for the government to remain open.
