Final Tax Bill Headed To Senate, House

Tax Bill

(Washington, DC)  —  A final Republican tax bill is headed to the Senate and House and votes are expected next week.  Texas Republican Congressman Kevin Brady signed off on the final bill after negotiators signed off on differences in Senate and House tax bills.  Brady chairs the House Ways and Means Committee.  President Trump strongly supports the complex package of reforms and tax cuts and has called it “monumental.”  Democrats say it will primarily benefit the wealthiest people and corporations.

Democrats also cite projections that it will add more than one-trillion dollars to the federal deficit over 10 years.
