AL Senator-Elect Jones Says It’s Time For Moore To Concede

(Key West, FL) — Fresh off a hard-fought win, Alabama Senator-Elect Doug Jones says it’s time for his former opponent Roy Moore to officially concede.  Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Jones says, “It’s time to move on. Alabama has spoken.” Jones, a Democrat, defeated the Republican Moore last Tuesday by just over one-percent of the vote.  Jones is the first Democrat to represent Alabama in the Senate in 25 years. Moore is refusing to concede defeat pointing to the close margin of the vote and claiming possible voter fraud.
