(Baltimore, MD) — U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions will talk about immigration enforcement and international gangs during a news conference in Baltimore today.
Sessions will be joined by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen. Both issues have been hot-button topics for the Trump administration. Arrests of immigrants in the country illegally went up by 25 percent during the most recent fiscal year compared to the previous fiscal year.
The Justice Department has put the spotlight on gangs, especially MS-13, which is particularly active in Maryland’s Montgomery and Prince George’s counties.
