(Arlington, VA) — Vice President Mike Pence is continuing to honor the nation’s veterans today. After taking part in the traditional wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Pence spoke at Arlington National Cemetery. The vice president told the gathering the U.S. “is the land of the free because it’s still the home of the brave.” He also noted his father is a Korean War veteran and his son is serving on active duty in the Marines. Earlier, the vice president joined several dozen volunteers in cleaning the Vietnam Veterans Memorial which is engraved with the names of fallen soldiers. Pence called it a “great way to start Veterans Day.”
