U.S. Names North Korea As State Sponsor Of Terrorism 

(Washington, DC)  —  North Korea is officially a state sponsor of terrorism.

President Trump made the announcement today at the start of a Cabinet meeting at the White House.

Trump said the designation will pressure North Korea to end its nuclear program. Trump also announced that new U.S. sanctions against the North are pending. North Korea joins Iran, Sudan and Syria on the U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism.
