(Stuttgart, Germany) — The United States conducted air strikes today against ISIS in northeastern Somalia in coordination with the Federal Government of Somalia.
The strike occurred about 3 p.m. local time. The U.S. Africa Command issued a news release saying U.S. forces will continue to use all authorized and appropriate measures to protect U.S. citizens and to disable terrorist threats.
The news release says at least one person was killed. That person is described as a terrorist.
