(Washington, DC) — The Democratic leaders in Congress are defending their decision to skip a meeting with President Trump.
Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer called for Trump to “stop tweeting and start leading.” Trump started the day by tweeting that he does not see the possibility of a budget deal with Schumer and Pelosi, along with some derisive comments.
Schumer accused Trump of not being serious about some big, looming budget issues. The government runs out of money on December 8th and there is the possibility of a shutdown over spending disputes.
