(San Antonio, TX) — More than 100 San Antonians now have some idea what it takes to be a member of the city police department’s SWAT team. SWAT opened its obstacle course to the public on Saturday for a free workout. Participants were divided up into four groups and went through a grueling obstacle course that SWAT members deal with on a regular basis. After scaling walls and climbing ropes, they faced a goal of carrying a 40-pound battering ram across the finish line. The final test was a group effort to push a 25-thousand-pound truck up a hill.
