(New York, NY) — The suspect in the deadly truck attack in New York City is charged with two counts of terrorism.
Federal prosecutors say Sayfullo Saipov [[ say-FOOL-oh SAY-pov ]] killed eight human beings in a hate-filled attack carried out in the name of ISIS.
He was formally charged today with providing support to ISIS and violence and destruction of a motor vehicle. Investigators found nearly a hundred ISIS videos on his cell phone. Saipov also told investigators that he had been planning the attack for about two months.
