New Yorkers Gather To Remember Truck Attack Victims

(New York, NY)  —  People are paying their respects to the victims of this week’s deadly truck terror attack in New York City.

Hundreds have been visiting makeshift memorials while attending a candlelight vigil Thursday night at the Houston Street Pier.

Police say that’s where Sayfullo Saipov [[ say-FOOL-oh SAY-pov ]] drove his rented truck down a bike path, killing eight people, including one from New Jersey, and wounding nearly a dozen.  Mourners expressed sympathy and sadness for the victims, but also vowed not to give in to fear.
