Menendez Trial Resumes Monday

(Newark, NJ) — Jury deliberations resume Monday in the corruption trial of Senator Bob Menendez with a new juror on the panel. Last week, the judge dismissed a juror so she could take a planned vacation, and an alternate will now be brought in to continue the deliberations. Menendez is accused of accepting luxury trips and donations from Florida eye doctor Solomon Melgen in exchange for political favors. The dismissed juror said she believes the senator is simply good friends with the doctor and that both of them are innocent.
