(San Marcos, TX) — All fraternity and sorority activities at Texas State University are suspended after the suspected alcohol-related death of a student at a frat party. Sophomore Matthew Ellis was pronounced dead on Monday afternoon at an off-campus apartment complex. Ellis had attended a Sunday night party hosted by Phi Kappa Psi, a fraternity that was already being investigated by the university. Ellis was a pledge with the frat, and the party was described by the campus newspaper as an initiation.  TSU joins Florida State University and Louisiana State University who have also suspended their Greek programs after the deaths of fraternity members.
