(Dallas, TX) — Dallas police and the U.S. Marshals are joining forces to provide extra patrols in the downtown area. The joint patrols follow a series of violent crimes downtown. The new joint effort launched on Thursday. At least once a week, 20 extra officers will patrol the Central Business District. That includes Downtown, Deep Ellum, the Farmer’s Market, Cedars, and the West End. In addition, officers will be refocusing efforts to make more arrests.
