(Fort Bragg, NC) — Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl suffers from post-traumatic stress and will need a “range of treatment.”
That’s the assessment of a forensic psychiatrist who testified in Bergdahl’s sentencing today at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Bergdahl was held captive by the Taliban in Afghanistan for five years after deserting his post. Dr. Charles Morgan testified Bergdahl suffered from a personality disorder even before he enlisted in the Army.
Morgan told the court the symptoms made Bergdahl seem odd, eccentric and aloof. Bergdahl could be sentenced to life in prison.
