(Washington, DC) — Americans enrolling in the Affordable Care Act known as Obamacare is up 46-percent over last year. The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reports one-point-four-eight-million people signed up on HealthCare-dot-gov since November 1st when open enrollment began. That compares to one-point-two-million a year ago. The CMS reports the number of people applying for healthcare coverage, checking on coverage and looking at plans on the exchange are all sharply higher than what was seen during 2016’s open enrollment season.
