(Washington, DC) — Senator John Cornyn is withdrawing his endorsement of Roy Moore as the Alabama GOP senate candidate. In a statement today, Cornyn said the most “appropriate course of action” is to leave the future of Moore in the hands of Alabama voters and withdraw his endorsement. The Texas Republican said the accusations that Moore had sexual contact with minors while he was in his 30s are “disturbing,” and would disqualify Moore if true. The youngest of the alleged victims said she was 14 when Moore initiated a sexual encounter with her.
