(Waco, TX) — There’s no telling yet when a case involving the biker shootout in Waco will be re-tried.
A judge in Waco declared a mistrial late last week after jurors were deadlocked after 14 hours of deliberating three charges against Jake Carrizal, the leader of the Bandidos bike gang. It was the first trial arising from the 2015 shootout at a Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco in which nine people were killed and 18 others wounded.
Carrizal faced one count of directing the activities of a criminal street gang and two counts of engaging in organized criminal activity.
