(Birmingham, AL) — Alabama Senate Candidate Judge Roy Moore is speaking out amid rising sexual assault accusations against him.
Today, Moore addressed a crowd in Birmingham, Alabama after several pastors and allies professed their support for him. The judge thanked them for their continued support for his campaign. Moore said he wants to see unity in the country. He said he’s already unified the Democrats and Republicans, as they fight against him amid the sexual misconduct allegations.
Moore again emphasized that the claims are untrue and have no evidence to substantiate them. He said, at this point, he just wants to get back to the issues.
Moore faces accusations from at least eight different women who say he sexually harassed them. Several of the victims say they were in their teens and he was in his 30’s during the incidents. The victims allege varying degrees of sexual misconduct, ranging from inappropriate grabbing to forceful kissing.
