Trucker Charged In Deadly Bus Crash

(Palm Springs, CA)  —  A truck driver is being charged with 13 counts of felony manslaughter for his part in a deadly bus crash near Palm Springs a year ago. California authorities say Bruce Guilford fell asleep after stopping for traffic in the far right lane of Interstate 10 in October of 2016. A tour bus hit the stopped semi-truck, killing 13 people and injuring 31 others. Investigators say Guilford also falsified his drivers log to misrepresent the amount of sleep he had before the crash.
