(Austin, TX) — Texas Governor Greg Abbott is sending his condolences to the Texas Tech police department after an officer was killed on campus. Abbott said he’s mobilized the state’s Department of Public Safety to assist in any way they can. The shooting happened as a student was being questioned at the university police headquarters following a wellness check. He fled, forcing a campus-wide lockdown. Police took him into custody a short time later and the all-clear was given.
