Vance said his office decided it was not going to be a provable case, after the NYPD referred the case along with audio of Weinstein admitting to sexually abusing a model. He added he understands many other allegations have surfaced against Weinstein, but his office followed the law. Democrat Vance also said he didn’t regret taking donations from Weinstein’s attorney and said no contribution has ever impacted a decision on a case.
