(Washington, DC) — Federal prosecutors want bail be set at ten-million-dollars for President Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort.
They also want five-million-dollars for his associate Rick Gates. The prosecutors requested the amount along with home arrest and passport surrender as terms of release.
Manafort and Gates pled not guilty today to charges levied by Special Counsel Robert Mueller as part of his Russia investigation.
Mueller says the two were paid tens of millions of dollars and laundered the money to hide Ukraine payments from U.S. authorities. The charges are not connected to the Trump campaign.
