(Nuneaton, Great Britain) — Everyone is safe after a gunman took hostages inside a British bowling alley today. Police in the town of Nuneaton say the gunman is in custody and the hostages are safe. The operations director for MFA Bowl says the hostages were two employees and are believed to be unharmed. Witnesses reported seeing flashes and hearing bangs and then around 15 police running toward the bowling alley. The alley and the center where it’s located were locked down for more than four hours while the gunman, armed with what was described by witnesses as a sawed-off shotgun, held two workers inside. When it was over, an ambulance service says the gunman was treated and taken to a hospital.
