One of the victims of yesterday’s shooting at a Congressional baseball practice is talking about what happened.
Congressional aide Zack Barth tells NBC’s “Today” show he’s blessed to be alive and is thankful for the officers who returned fire at the shooter.
Barth says he was pinned down in right field when he was shot in the leg. He says he was bleeding “pretty badly” but made a run for the dugout. Barth works for Texas Congressman Roger Williams.
Several people were injured when the gunman opened fire, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and two officers.
