Texas Ranked 8th Least-Educated State In Nation

As state lawmakers try to find new ways to finance public schools, a new survey is showing Texas as the eighth least-educated state in the nation.

The study by WalletHub shows most of the other states from the “bottom ten” are also in the South.

Among the factors considered by researchers:  educational attainment, school quality, and achievement gaps between genders and races.
