(Indianapolis, IN) — President-elect Donald Trump says companies are not going to leave the U.S. anymore “without consequences.”
Trump and VP-elect Mike Pence took a victory lap after Carrier’s agreement to keep about one-thousand manufacturing jobs in the U.S.
The Indiana-based jobs were slated to be outsourced to Mexico.
At a Carrier plant in Indianapolis, Trump praised Carrier’s management and said the company “stepped up.”
In his first public event since winning the presidency, Trump repeated a campaign pledge to bring U.S. jobs back home and to keep existing jobs here.
